In The Secret of Hokwiton, you accompany our main character named Harmony on her adventure, attending her first year in the magical school, Hokwiton. As if diving into a new world full of magic wasn’t enough, many secrets are waiting to be discovered. On your adventure, you will meet many interesting characters and magical creatures and make new friends along the way.

- you could run into a dead-end if you saved in the last scene in the cambers in version 0.2.0. Implemented a quick workaround that loads the correct (new) chamber scene by clicking on the bed (let me know if it worked)
- fixed a bug that prevented the save menu from showing up on a new game start on rare occasions
- Streamlined how global variables are getting saved (should have no influence on your savegames)

Developer Notes:
Hi, I devoted the main part of my free time in 2021 to the development of this game. The Secret of Hokwiton is a visual novel complemented with gameplay elements of a point-and-click adventure.
The core idea of the gameplay design is to have more interactive and diverse gameplay while avoiding the grind and repetition that occurs in many games of this type. In the first release, you will meet all the main characters of the game and get an idea of the game’s mechanics.
The focus in this version is on the main story. Because I write the story along with the future development of the game, it is hard to tell the exact point you are on the story at the end of this version.
An estimated guess would be 50%-60%. There are many possibilities to add additional content in future versions of the game. Many interesting characters are currently not developed. Many side activities, like working at the magical shop, lack content.
And last, but not least, the classes that could be expanded on. I hope you enjoy the game and consider supporting me on subscribe star. Looking forward to your feedback. A warning / (about me): I stumbled onto this site maybe 1,5 years ago.
Then 1 year ago I bought a new PC to try out Daz3D and started with unity. I am not an expert so expect bugs. This is a hobby project. I have a full-time job and a family, so don’t expect rapid content updates.
